Richel is the No.1 manufacturer of greenhouses and tunnels in Europe, with exports to more than 80 countries worldwide. Manufacturing capacity is currently about 50 000m 2 of multispan greenhouses and tunnels per week, amounting to about 300 hectares per annum.

Richel has been exporting greenhouses to Africa for more than 20 years, with over 600 hectares of greenhouses present in many countries, including South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Mozambique.

Greener Solutions is the sole supplier of Richel Greenhouses and Tunnels in Southern Africa, and we have been collaborating with the company since 2009.

As of 2012, we carry a range of essential spares for Richel greenhouse and tunnel models in the region and, where spares were previously imported on order, we are now able to provide an improved service to all Richel greenhouse owners in Southern Africa by being able to deliver on spares orders more efficiently.

Richel greenhouses are well known in the South African greenhouse industry as the best quality available, and once a grower has bought one he never looks at anything else again. The complete greenhouse, with all components imported directly from Richel, is delivered in sealed containers to the clients' premises thereby ensuring all components are available immediately for construction.

Greener Solutions provides, where required, the construction team who are responsible for the erection of the greenhouse or tunnels to Richel specifications on site. All the grower needs to supply is the platform and an electrical connection to the supplied electrical panel, unless otherwise agreed.

A number of models and configurations are available, depending on the climate, crop and budget of the grower.

Richel is the leading innovator in terms of new greenhouse design trends and is responsible for bringing to the market the 9.6m wide bay some years back, and more recently the 12.8m wide bay - the only one without a trellis beam. Other innovations include the 90mm ovalised tube arch profile in high tensile steel for extra strength, a 9m high ridge height, double inflated film and additional special polymeric corrosion protection.
